Germany: challenges for 2020 and beyond

Prometeia complimentary webinar. February 26, 2020 - 15.00 CET

Since mid-2018 the German manufacturing sector has been contracting. While this was initially assumed to be a temporary blip related to the introduction of new standards for diesel engines, it has become clear that there are structural elements at play. In this webinar, we try to get a better understanding of the current German situation, its dimensions and the impact on the Italian economy.

After a brief introduction, in which we summarize the latest trends and data, we go on to discuss recent political developments, the changes that have occurred in Germany’s transatlantic relationships and their implications for the economy. We then address the prospects for the industry and banking sectors and conclude with a Q&A session.
